Maintenance

  • Never use a high pressure washer to clean your e-bike.
  • The pressure can force water into electrical components as well as mechanical components of your e-bike which can cause problems and corrosion.
  • The best way to clean an e-bike is with a wet sponge or a garden hose at low pressure running water.
  • Make sure the e-bike is switched off and that the LCD display and control switch is covered when using a hose.
  • Use a soft brush like a paint brush to remove sand and dirt from hard to reach corners.
  • Be sure to spin the wheels and turn the crank after washing your e-bike to disperse water from the bearing areas before parking the bike.
  • Use silicone spray or any anti-corrosion spray to prevent corrosion.
  • Do not contaminate the brake rotors or brake pads with any type of oily substance.
  • Clean chain with paraffin, rinse thoroughly, let it dry completely, wipe with a cotton rag and apply one drop of chain lube to each chain link on inside of chain.
  • Never leave your e-bike in the pouring rain and never ride through water deeper than crank or hub height.
  • Battery casings are weather proof, but refrain from spraying water at high pressure onto batteries.
  • Always switch battery off when washing your e-bike.
  • It is crucial to charge the battery fully before first use.
  • Modern Lithium Ion batteries do not build up memory and it’s better to charge battery fully after use than to drain fully before each recharge.
  • Never store the battery in a discharged state and always store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • Extended periods of extreme heat may damage batteries and shorten the life expectancy thereof.
  • The electric system of an e-bike is sealed and for all practical purposes maintenance free if installed correctly.
  • Other components of e-bikes are similar to conventional bicycles and maintenance is done accordingly.
  • For complete peace of mind we recommend that you have your e-bike serviced professionally by E-Wheelz as per recommended service schedules where possible.

12-MONTH WARRANTY

Month WarrantyEwheelz E-bikes are covered under our manufacturer's 1-year all-inclusive warranty for the original owner against all manufacturing defects.​Warranty Target Audience

  1. All quality-related defects on items sold directly by Ewheelz or Ewheelz authorized resellers are covered by an extensive warranty
  2. Quality-related warranty claims on purchases made through Ewheelz authorized distributors and retailers

Batteries

  1. It is normal circumstance for the battery capacity fading with time goes by. It is excluded out of the warranty coverage.
  2. Warranty service will be not honored if the damage is caused by human.
  3. Warranty service will be honored if the damage is not caused by human.

This Limited Warranty does not cover

Claims ProcessAll claims to this warranty must be made through Ewheelz. and submitted to info@ewheelz.co.za Proofs of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product are required with any warranty request. Before making a warranty claim, we suggest that you contact us at info@ewheelz.co.za as there may be a simple fix for your problem. Valid warranty claims will be processed through Ewheelz within 1 years of initial purchase.Ewheelz will not replace any part without first seeing photos or video of the damaged product. Customers need to provide us with evidence by email.Shipping Damage ClaimsIn rare instances, the item received may be damaged during transportation. If shipping damage occurs, please contact info@ewheelz.co.za and provide us with photo or video proof.NOTICE:we will not accept Shipping Damage Claims later than 7 days from receipt of products.​Repair ServiceFor repair services, Ewheelz will only provide free replacement parts.All free accessories will not participate in the replacement or compensation if they cause scratches during transportation.Limitation of DamagesExcept to the extent prohibited by applicable law,Ewheelzshall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue or data, resulting from any breach of express or implied warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, even whenEwheelz​ has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
